Money is not the only true value
What your business could swap instead of spend, and the rules that keep a swap fair.
Look at what your business pays cash for every month: lunch for staff, deliveries, printing, photos, adverts. Now look at what you make. Somewhere in your city, a business needs what you make and offers what you buy.
How a swap works
Two members agree to give each other goods or services of similar value. For example, a designer makes a restaurant's menus, and the restaurant feeds the designer's staff. Where two businesses cannot match, three can: each gives to the next in a circle.
The rules that keep it fair
- Every offer has a Swap Value in naira, checked against proof of price.
- Members are verified before they swap.
- A swap balance is never cash. It cannot be bought, sold or cashed out.
- Large swaps are delivered in two halves, so nobody gives everything first.
Swapping does not replace selling. It keeps cash in the business for the things only cash can buy.
